This piece was inspired by a need for freedom. I constantly feel stuck and in a smaller world when the world is more accessible than ever. Depression and anxiety can make you feel hopeless and stuck, so I love that this heron is flying upwards towards the sky. Free and full of color.
 
This piece features a great blue heron soaring towards the sky. every color of their feathers on full display. The frame is handpainted and shows of a glorious glossy sheen.
 
This painting is a one of one. Acrylic paint on stretched canvas. Sealed with multiple layers of gloss varnish.
